Kappa Puzhukku (Tapioca)

Usually this recipe is connected with fish (meen) curry and am vegetarian so making the recipe is rare but I love this recipe because of it's simplicity and maybe that's why it's called poor man's food in Malayalam.
Though it's traditional recipe, I made few changes.. like I didn't use coconut, onion.

Steps
- 1
Clean and cut tapioca into square pieces. Wash it thoroughly. Take a pan. Add water, salt and turmeric. Add kappa and boil it until it is cooked properly.
- 2
Once it is tender, drain it. Keep seasoning ready.
- 3
Take a pan. Add coconut oil. Add mustard and asafoetida. Add all seasoning items - green chillies, red chilli, urad. Roast it on low flame for few seconds.
- 4
Add drained kappa. Mix it well. Add fresh coriander leaves.
- 5
Mix it well. Serve hot.
- 6
Tip - I didn't add salt second time as I like less salt. You can add if you like it.
