Ingredients

2 tablespoonsshortening
4 tablespoonssugar
3 teaspoonsbaking powder
1/4 teaspoonssalt
1/2 cupmilk
1 teaspoonsvanilla
1 cupsweetened apricots,peaches or applesauce
1egg
Topping
1 tablespoonsbutter melted over water
1/4 cupflour
1/2 cupsugar
2 tablespoonscinnamon
1/2 teaspoonsvanilla

Cream together shortening and sugar

Add the egg and beat well

Sift dry ingredients together

Add alternately with milk

Add the vanilla

Place in greased pan

Add 1/4 teaspoons lemon extract to fruit

Pour over top of batter.

Blend all topping ingredients sprinkle over top
10

Bake at 375 for 30 minutes
