Ingredients

  • 500 grampitted dates
  • 1/2 cupalmonds
  • 1/2 cupcashews
  • 1/4 cuppistachios
  • 1/2 cupsesame seeds
  • 2x teaspoon of ghee
  • 2 tablespoonbiscoff spread

Steps

    In a microwave safe plate add nuts and 1 teaspoon ghee. Microwave 1 minute. Remove and give it a stir and microwave further 30 seconds. Set aside.

    In another microwave safe plate add sesame seeds and microwave for 1 minute. Give it a stir and microwave further 30 seconds. Set aside.

    Blitz the dates to fine paste.
    In a pan add 1 teaspoon of ghee and cook while stirring for couple of minutes. Add in nuts and 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Turn the heat off and mix with a spatula.
    Let it cool until you can mix with hands.

    Mix and make small balls. Roll in sesame seeds and press them in a mould. Repeat for the rest.
    Add biscoff spread in a bag and microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. Cut the tip of the bag and drizzle in the middle. Let it cool completely. Enjoy

Hi all, my name is Rekha. I am Indian by birth, born in Uganda, East Africa, I now live in Wilby, Northamptonshire/England.I retired at the age of 60 due to severe arthritis. I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
