Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. 1.1 lbschicken breast (about 500 grams)
  2. 5large flatbreads (such as lavash or thin pita)
  3. Thinly sliced onion
  4. 1potato, cut and fried as desired
  5. Tahini to spread on the sandwich before adding chicken
  6. Sliced tomato, cucumber, carrot, pickles as desired
  7. 1 tablespoonsalt
  8. 1 tablespoonblack pepper
  9. 1 tablespoonchicken seasoning
  10. 1 tablespoonshawarma spice mix
  11. 1 tablespoonpomegranate molasses
  12. 1 tablespoonplain yogurt
  13. 1 tablespoontomato paste
  14. 1 tablespoonlemon juice
  15. 1 tablespoonolive oil
  16. 1 tablespoonhot sauce
  17. 2 clovesgarlic, minced

Steps

25 minutes in the oven

    Cut the chicken breast into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Wash the chicken well with water.

  3. 3

    Add all the ingredients to the chicken and mix well until combined.

  4. 4

    Add a little olive oil to a nonstick baking pan.

  5. 5

    Place the seasoned chicken in the pan.

  6. 6

    Bake for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the liquid has evaporated.

  7. 7

    Lay the flatbread on a large tray and spread a little tahini in a line down the center.

  8. 8

    Add the chicken, onion slices, pickles, tomato, and any other desired fillings, or leave plain if you prefer.

  9. 9

    Toast the sandwich in a sandwich press or toaster for 5 minutes and serve hot with fried potatoes and pickles.
