Ingredients

  1. As much as you want Watermelon
  2. 5–7% of the watermelon’s weight Sugar
  3. To taste Lime
  4. 1 pinch(optional) Chili powder
  5. 1 pinch(optional) Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the watermelon into chunks and remove the seeds. Cut into 3/4-inch cubes (about 2 cm), then place in a zip-top bag with the sugar.

    Mash the watermelon with your hands to break it up. Squeeze out the air, flatten the bag, and freeze until solid.

    Break the frozen watermelon into pieces and process in a food processor until it becomes a slushy texture.

  4. 4

    If you don’t have a food processor, transfer to a container and, as it starts to freeze, scrape with a fork several times to create a fluffy texture.

  5. 5

    When serving, sprinkle with chili powder and salt if you like, and squeeze fresh lime juice over the top. Enjoy!
