Wash and cut cowpees into small pieces.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, when warm add fenugreek seeds and let them splatter. Add onion paste and ginger garlic paste. Saute 1 minute. Add some water if required.

In a mixing bowl add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and coriander powder. Add 2-3 tbsp water and make a thin paste.

Add to onion-garlic paste and saute 2-3 minutes on low flame.

Add cowpees, saute for 2-3 minutes till oil seperates and add salt and garam masala powder. Add 1/2 cup water and pressure cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.

After pressure release open lid. Serve with rice or roti.
