Shitala Satam is a day of deep reverence for Goddess Shitala, with rituals that reflect the devotion of her followers. .
By observing these rituals, devotees seek her blessings for protection against diseases and the overall well-being of their families.
She is the shielding goddess of children and childbirth. As such, to worship Shitala Maa, on the day of Shitala Satam, no hot food is consumed and nor is the kitchen fire lit. A classic variety of dishes are prepared one day prior and are left overnight at room temperature and is eaten on the day of Shitala Satam.
On the previous day of satam, we make a lot of food like,thepala,handvo, vada ,sweet milk,masala puri,potato dry subji, Ladoo etc..
Today I'm showing one recipe out of all recipes called Palak Thepla.

Steps

Take wheat flour and besan in the bowl.
Add all the spices,palak and Fresh coriander together with oil.
Mix well, then Knead a semi soft dough with water.
Make an Equal size portion. - 2
Roll the thin thepala.
Roast on tawa,adding oil on both sides of thepala till light brown marks appear.
Transfer to a kitchen napkin.
Make all thepala. - 3
Thepla is ready.
Cover with cotton cloth to stay soft.
Eat with masala curd or potato subji on day of satam..
