Steamed Cod with Preserved Melon

I used two types of preserved melon. The black one from a can is slightly salty! The yellow one, bought from the market, is homemade by the vendor and has a sweet-salty taste. It's delicious for steaming fish or stir-frying with minced pork! Generally, this type of long fish doesn't fit in a rice cooker, so you need to cut it in half or use a frying pan to steam it. Using a steam oven is very convenient, as it can fit the whole fish!

Steps
- 1
Wash the fish and pat dry. Evenly sprinkle both sides with white pepper, then rub with oyster sauce. Chop the preserved melon and green onions, and spread them on top.
- 2
Use the steam oven's automatic 'steam fish' setting for 15 minutes to complete. It's quick and convenient. After steaming, remove the green onion pieces and garnish with some green onion slivers.
