A very healthy Lauki Tuvar Dal which I love

Wash the Lauki and peel, cut into small pieces, wash Tuvar dal and set aside, cut tomatoes into small pieces

In a pressure cooker add dal, Lauki and salt and turmeric powder, green Chilies and pressure cook for 4 whistles, depressurise and remove the cover

In a wok heat oil, add cumin seeds, whole red chilli, bay leaf and add tomatoes. On medium flame stir to soften, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and add Dal, stir well.

Reduce as per desired consistency. Set aside

Enjoy with steamed rice
