Ingredients

45 minutes + soaking time
5-6 people
  • For hummus ~
  • 3/4 cup chole
  • 1/4 cuprajma
  • 2tomato 🍅
  • 1onion 🧅
  • 2carrots 🥕
  • 1small cauliflower florets (1 cup)
  • 1green chili
  • 1 tspSalt 🧂
  • 1/2 tspbaking soda
  • For Hummus Grinding ~
  • 1 chili 🌶️
  • 1garlic 🧄
  • 1/2 tspPepper powder
  • 2 tspRoasted jeera
  • 1-1/2 tbspTahini
  • 1-1/2Lemon 🍋 juice
  • 1/4 cupolive 🫒 oil
  • 2-3Ice cubes
  • For Hummus Tadka ~
  • 2 tbspolive 🫒 Oil
  • 1 tbspgarlic 🧄
  • 1/2 tspJeera
  • 1 tspred chili 🌶️ powder
  • leavesChopped coriander

Steps

45 minutes + soaking time
  1. 1

    Soak chole & rajma overnight ; morning wash it nicely & put in pressure cooker add 2 cups of water salt, baking soda & all cut veggies pressure cook it till 2-3 whistle
    Let is cool down & remove all in a big broad bowl & cool completely

    Till that make tadka ~
    Heat oil in a pan add jeera when it starts crackle add garlic 🧄 & sauté it till light glide on medium flame 🔥 add Kashmiri chili powder & switch off flame 🔥 remove in a bowl & keep aside

    For Hummus ~
    While grinding don’t take liquid only boiled veggies rajma & chole & add all grinding ingredients & blend it in smooth texture

    Remove in a serving bowl spread with spoon & put tadka you can see in pic & sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves
    Serve with pita bread or you can spread on toasted bread / chips / lavash

    Try it once you will love it

    Note ~
    Baking soda is impoetant to cook chole & rajama mashy otherwise chole peel will separate
    Don’t use red rajma use chitrakabra rajma
    I don’t have so I use red one so little color change but taste superb
