Ingredients

  • 2 cupsMaida
  • 1 cupSugar
  • 4Eggs
  • 2 tspBaking powder
  • 1/4 tspBaking soda
  • 1/2 tspPineapple essence
  • 2Bananas chopped
  • Fruit cocktail 1 medium can
  • 1/2 cupFruit cocktail syrup
  • 1/2 cupButter milk
  • 1/2 cupDesicated coconut
  • 1/2 cupAlmonds chopped
  • 1/2 cupGlazed red and green cherries
  • 1 cupOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven at 180 C.

    Grease a pan.

    Chopparize fruit cocktail coarsely in a chopper.

    Mix together Maida, baking powder,soda, cherries, almonds and coconut.

    Beat together sugar, oil and eggs.

    Add in fruit cocktail, bananas and essence.

    Beat very well.

    Add in Maida,alternating with cocktail syrup and butter milk.

    Beat continuously.

    Beat in remaining Maida.

    Pour batter in pan.

    Bake for 45 minutes or till done.

    Cool cake completely.

    Cut into slices and serve.
