Masala gravy

Ramadan 2025 will In Sha Allah, begin at the end of February. Ramadan is a special time for reflection, prayer, and community. It's a month filled with spiritual growth, family gatherings, and delicious iftar meals. Do you have any particular traditions or plans for this Ramadan?

Preparing meals for Ramadan can be a delightful and fulfilling experience. Freezer meals can be a lifesaver during Ramadan, especially when you want to focus more on your spiritual practices and less on daily cooking.

Masala gravy is one such prep that can be made ahead, frozen and used for different curries, vegetable.

Just make your basic masala gravy, if you like add the salt and chilli powder, I didn’t as I will be using this for different recipes and add the spices accordingly. If you prepare to sauté the sliced onions and chopped tomatoes, do so and once the gravy is ready, cool and then blend into a smooth paste before pouring in moulds.

To use, just remove one or two gravy cups and use for the recipe. Trust me, this saves a lot of time not just in Ramadan but also when you are time constrained and do not feel like prepping.
