Dadpe Pohe is a classic Maharashtrian delicacy prepared using Flattened Rice or Poha preferably thin one which are not cooked. Raw thin poha is mixed with chopped onions, tomatoes, freshly grated coconut, etc and kept aside for sometime covering with a lid so that flavours are absorbed. Dadpne means pressure or under weight in Marathi, hence the name Dadpe Pohe.
Further, a tempering is prepared and poured hot on poha mixture which gives a unique flavour.
There are many different ways of making Dadpe Pohe.
This is one of the easiest, healthy and delicious snack which can be had in breakfast or evening tea time snack.

Take thin poha, finely chopped onions, tomatoes, freshly grated coconut in a mixing bowl. Mix well.

Then add chopped green chilli, fresh green coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt and mix well. Keep aside for 8 to 10 mins covering with a lid.

Heat oil in tadka pan on medium flame. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and raw peanuts.
Let it crackle. Once it crackles, pour tadka on prepared poha mixture. Mix everything well. - 4
Garnish with some chopped fresh green coriander leaves and serve.
