In a saucepan, heat 2tbsp ghee. fry the cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, star anise, bayleaf rice, and Horse gram on medium heat for 2 minutes. Until aromatic

Add the fried ingredients to the rice cooker.
Add 3 ½ cups boiling water, coconut milk. Add salt. Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, saffron. Close the cooker and turn it on. The cooker will turn off automatically after the rice is cooked. - 5
Over medium heat Fry the cashews and curry leaves in 1 tbsp ghee in bowl. Add this to the cooked pulao.
Transfer the kollu rice to another bowl to serve.
The beautiful, nutritious and delicious kollu rice is ready. Rest for 15 minutes. All the aromas and flavors will come together. You may serve the pulao with papads, vegetable chips and raitha. Taste and enjoy.
