Ingredients

20 minutes
for 2 adults
  • 1/2 kgraw beans
  • 1/2 kgraw maize
  • 1/4 kgtomatoes
  • 1/8 kgonions
  • 1 piececapsicum
  • 1 bunchcoriander
  • 20 mlcorn oil
  • 1 gsalt

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Boil maize mixed with beans for 1 hour

  2. 2

    Drain the water till it is dry

  3. 3

    Put 20 ml of corn oil in the pan for a 3 seconds add chopped onions and leave it to cook till it is golden brown.

    Add diced tomatoes and leave to cook for 3 minutes then add a pinch of salt.

    Add the mix of maize and beans into the pan and stir

    Put chopped coriander and capsicum then stir for a minute.

    Githeri is ready to be served with ovacado!
