First, make the syrup. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and rosemary. Simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside to cool.

Choose a sweet, juicy, red watermelon. Wash the outside, cut it in half, then into slices or however you prefer to cut watermelon.

Remove the rind and cut the flesh into cubes. Remove any black seeds if present. Measure out 2 cups and place them in a blender.

Juice the limes and add the juice to the blender.

Blend the watermelon and lime juice with about 1 cup water (240 ml) for 3 minutes. Strain the juice if you like, but it’s optional. Once the syrup has cooled, pour it into a pitcher and stir with a spoon. Add extra rosemary or lime slices for garnish if desired.

Serve with plenty of ice and enjoy a refreshing drink! 🍉
