Ingredients

2 servings
  • 250 gmlobia ki phalli (Yardlong beans)
  • 1tomato chopped
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1 tspAsafoetida
  • 1 tspcoriander cumin powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse the lobia phalli nicely and place them in sieve so that extra water drain outs.

    Now cut off both the ends of beans and chop them down in to 1/2 inch chunks.

    Heat some oil in a wok. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, asafoetida to it. After sauteing the cumin seeds, add tomatoes and mix well.

    Now, add all the spices mentioned above with salt. Cover and cook until tomatoes release oil.

    Add lobia ki phalli. Saute for 2 minutes while stirring constantly. Then add 3 to 4 tbsp water, cover and let the curry simmer on low flame for 10-15 minutes.

    Finally, serve hot with chapati Or rice.
