Ingredients

3 hours, 10 minutes
6-8 people
  1. 1 lb (16 oz)Kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
  2. 1 (30 oz)bag frozen hashbrowns (shredded)
  3. 2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  4. 1/4 cupmelted butter
  5. 1 can (10.5 oz)cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom)
  6. 1/2 cupsour cream
  7. 1/2 teaspoongarlic powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoononion powder
  9. 1 tspsalt and pepper each to taste
  10. 1/2 cupchopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Steps

3 hours, 10 minutes
  1. 1

    Slice the Kielbasa into rounds. If desired, you can brown the Kielbasa in a skillet for extra flavor, but it's not necessary if you're short on time.

  2. 2

    Spray the inside of your crockpot with cooking spray or use a liner for easy cleanup. Then layer the bottom with the frozen hashbrowns. Add the sliced Kielbasa over the hashbrowns.

  3. 3

    In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  4. 4

    Pour the soup mixture evenly over the hashbrowns and Kielbasa. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

  5. 5

    Cover and cook on low for 3 hours or until the hashbrowns are tender, and the casserole is hot and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Stir the casserole to combine everything before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired
