Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/4 cupancho chili powder
  • 1/4 cupkosher salt
  • 2 tbspchipotle powder
  • 2 tbsppaprika
  • 1 tbspblack pepper
  • 2 tspgarlic powder
  • 2 tsponion powder
  • 1 tspwhite pepper
  • 1/2allspice
  • 1 cupketchup
  • 1/2 cupcider vinegar
  • 1/4 cuphoney
  • 1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 2 tbspchili powder
  • 2 tspblack pepper
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tsponion powder
  • 1 tbspkosher salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Apply dry rub. Let sit for 15 minutes. Then apply another coat. Let sit for 30 min.

  2. 2

    Smoke with applewood at 250-275 for 3 hours

  3. 3

    Take off heat, put on heavy duty aluminum foil. Apply 2oz honey, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 2 tbsp butter. Flip, then repeat, but instead of butter, 1/2 cup of bbq sauce

  4. 4

    Wrap tightly in foil. Put back o. Smoker for 1 hour

  5. 5

    You can use the cooked off bbq sauce as a glaze
