Cooking Instructions
- 1
Dice an onion into fine pieces. We're going to stir fry this and grate the rest of the onions.Put the grated one on the tray. We're going to use them for marinade.
- 2
Put the meat on the cutting board.Use the mallet or the back of the big knife pound all over to increase the size of the meat and soften it.Flip it over and repeat the process. If you don't have the mallet. You can keep pounding the meat hard with the back of the knife and pierce all over the meat at the same time.
- 3
Make the shallow grid cuts all over the meat on both side. The smaller the better but be careful not to cut them apart.
- 4
Put the meat on the grated onion tray and cover them both side.Let them sit in the fridge for at least 20 mins. The longer you marinate the more tender steak you would have.
- 5
While you're waiting for the marinated steak so prepare some veggies or your favorite side dish.I made Cheesy Baked Potatoes with Sausages.I also post this recipe as well. You can check it out.
- 6
After you've finish the marinate time.Scrape of the grated onion out and combine them with the chopped onions in another bowl together.Melt the butter in the pan at medium heat and stir fry the onion untill lightly brown and set aside.
- 7
Wipe some remaining butter out with the paper towel.Put the oil into the pan turn to a little low heat about 160 C and cook the steak until brown evenly.
- 8
Put the steak on a plate with the veggies. Then stir fry the cooked onion with the steak gravy in the pan,add the japanese soy sauce and stir fry untill done.Pour the onion mixture onto the steak.Garnish with chopped parsley or spring onions and enjoy!!

Chaliapin-Style Beef Steak Chaliapin-Style Beef Steak
A chef has taught me this recipe. If you take your time grilling your thick cut meat, you can trap the meat juice and make it tender! You can judge when to take the meat off the net by touching and feeling the temperature of the steak. Put the steak back into the pan when it isn't too hot but right before being lukewarm. Place it back into the pan before the meat juice starts to drip The ideal would be to put the steak in your mouth and the juice just flows out! Recipe by Suko-pu cookpad.japan -

Sirloin Steak Sirloin Steak
I’m all about the steak. I’ve made some really bad steaks in my day. A good steak only needs salt and pepper. But at MY house, ALL steaks need meat tenderizing and a good beating lol I use a tenderizing tool that pierces the meat as well. I also use a bacon press so my crust goes from end to end and my steaks are cooked consistently. Lastly, if you’re doing it indoors, use cast iron!!I’ll make 2 meals out of this piece of steak.#mycookbook SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -
Beef Steak Beef Steak
I keep uploading really simple recipes, which is a little embarrassing, so I have decided not to call this a recipe.Although this isn't really a recipe, teaching people how to cook is also very important.Of course the colour of the meat is important, but cooking the meat through to the middle is what will draw out the best flavour.Japanese beef doesn't really get tough, so it's probably better to overcook than to undercook. Instead of serving guests the delicate appetizer of raw steak tartare on toast, I chop the fresh meat, add herbs and spices, and stuff inside fresh swiss chard leaves, makes the beef taste even more tender, like eating the center of a thick fillet mignon steak. Hobby Horseman -
