I use to drink fresh amla juice daily.Today I got fresh big amla in vegetable market.So I made this spicy pickle from this.

I use to drink fresh amla juice daily.Today I got fresh big amla in vegetable market.So I made this spicy pickle from this.
Steps

Wash, wipe and steam amla for six minutes till broken by hands.cool.

Heat a pan add coriander seeds, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, Fenugreek seeds and roast for five minutes in a slow flame.Keep aside.Cut chillies into big pieces.

Add roasted items in mixer jar.Grind coarsely.

Remove seeds from amla and make petals seprate.

Heat mustard oil in a pan till smoking point.Turn off' the gas.Cool.

In a mixing bowl add amla pieces, grounded masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder,salt, asafoetida, chilli pieces and mustard oil.Mix well.

Store in a dry glass bottle.Use after 2-3 days.Our tasty, nutritious amla pickle is ready to serve.
