This is a very simple and healthy recipe. It's hastle-free, yet tastes nice. It can go well with rice and rotli both. Milap will enjoy it only as a side dish.
Steps

Soak mung beans overnight. Drain. Cook mung with 2½ cups water, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp turmeric until soft. Set aside.

In a bowl, whisk curd, chana flour, ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp salt. Set aside.

Heat 1 tbsp ghee or oil in a pan. Add cumin, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilli paste, ginger paste. Add curd mixture. Stir and bring to a boil.

Add cooked mung. Mix and simmer until curry-like consistency. Transfer to a serving bowl.

For tempering, heat 1 tbsp ghee or oil, add red chilli powder, pour over mung curry. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Tips
Be careful with the amount of water while cooking mung; if you use too much, you may need to drain it later.
