Ingredients

50 min (Prep 15 min + Cook 35 min)
4-5 people
  1. 4small loaves white bread
  2. 500 gchicken or beef, diced
  3. 1/2 cupwater or stock
  4. Salt and pepper
  5. Oil for cooking
  6. 1onion, chopped
  7. 2tomatoes, chopped
  8. 2garlic cloves, minced
  9. 1 tbspcurry powder
  10. 1 tspground cumin
  11. 1 tspground coriander

Steps

50 min (Prep 15 min + Cook 35 min)
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft.

  2. 2

    Add meat, brown on all sides.
    Stir in tomatoes and spices, cook 5 min.

  3. 3

    Add water/stock, simmer 15–20 min until meat is tender and sauce thickened.

  4. 4

    Hollow out bread loaves, fill with curry, and serve immediately.

Tips

Use soft white bread and serve fresh; the curry can also be slightly thickened for easier scooping.
