Steps

Take elephant yam, peel out the skin and cut it into one inch pieces. Steam and keep it aside.

Add coconut, fennel seeds and poppy seeds,grind it into fine powder.

Keep a kadai on medium heat add oil, suran pieces,fry till it becomes crispy. Keep another kadai add oil fennel seeds chopped onion and curry leaves saute for few minutes.

Then add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, kasmir red chilli powder and salt. Saute till tomato becomes soft. Then add the suran pieces mix well

After few minutes add the grinded masala. Give a nice mix. Saute for two minutes. Remove from heat. Crispy suran fry is ready to serve.

Saute for two minutes. Remove from heat.Crispy suran fry is ready to serve. Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle some coriander leaves.
