Steps

5 min prep / 10 min cook
  1. 1

Bring the water to a boil in a pot.

  2. 2

Add the jasmine tea and steep for about 5 minutes until strong and fragrant.

  3. 3

Remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea leaves.

Stir in the sugar while the tea is still hot until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

Let the tea cool slightly, then pour over glasses filled with ice.

  5. 5

Serve chilled, optionally with a slice of lime.

Tips

Use jasmine tea rather than regular black tea—its floral aroma is what gives Teh Botol its distinctive Indonesian flavor. 🍵
