Roselle Flower, Raisins and Tomato Chutney/ Winter Special Chutney/ Ambadichya Fulanchi Chutney

Roselle Flowers or Ambadichi fule or gongura flowers are abundantly available in December in my city and let me tell you, they taste amazing and delicious. Tangy and flavorful, you can make so many recipes from them like chutney, murabba, jam, sherbat, squash, rasam and many more. They have benefits of iron, calcium, vitamin C and fiber for your gut. Try this delicious, tangy and sweet chutney which I made from them using tomatoes for adding the sour taste and kishmish or raisins to give a sweet taste. Steps
- 1
First, wash the Roselle Flowers under running water. Then pat them dry. Now gently remove the outer petals from inner bulb and collect the petals in a strainer. Use the green bulbs for replanting or as a good for plants.
- 2
Now wash the petals. Chop them finely. Assemble all the other ingredients.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and hing. When seeds pop up, add the ginger and tomatoes. Cook while stirring till soft on low flame. Add a pinch of salt to speed up the cooking.
- 4
Now add the Roselle Flowers, kishmish and mix well for 1 minute. If the mixture looks dried up, mix in 1 tablespoon water.
