Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  1. 14 oztofu (about 400 grams)
  2. 1 piecekombu seaweed (about the size of your palm)
  3. 1 tablespoonvegetable oil
  4. 1 tablespoonannatto oil
  5. 1 teaspoonseasoning salt
  6. 1 stalkleek
  7. 1 teaspoonchopped chili (optional)
  8. 1 teaspoonchili sauce (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse the kombu seaweed, soak until soft, then cut into small pieces or thin strips.

  2. 2

    Slice the leek and sauté in vegetable oil over low heat until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add the tofu and stir-fry gently, then add the annatto oil. Sprinkle in the seasoning salt and mix well.

  4. 4

    Add the cut kombu seaweed and stir-fry over low heat for about 10-15 minutes until some of the liquid evaporates.

  5. 5

    If desired, add chopped chili or chili sauce and stir-fry for a few more minutes.

  6. 6

    Tip: Stir-fry over low heat so the tofu stays moist and creamy—don’t let it dry out completely to keep its richness.
