Ingredients

2 servings
  • 150 gLeftover cooked chicken (with bones)
  • 1/2 pieceCarrot
  • 1/2 stalkLeek
  • 40 gNoodles (thin)
  • 1 tbspFresh dill
  • 600 mlWater
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 1 pinchBlack pepper
  • 3 tbspFlour
  • 1 pieceEgg
  • 1 tbspFresh dill (for dumplings)
  • 1 pinchSalt (for dumplings)

Steps

  1. 1

    Place leftover chicken, carrot, and leek in a pot with water. Simmer for 30 minutes to make stock.

  2. 2

    Remove chicken bones, shred any meat, and return meat to the pot.

  3. 3

    Add noodles and cook until tender.

  4. 4

    Mix flour, egg, dill, and salt to make dumpling dough.

  5. 5

    Drop spoonfuls of dough into the soup, simmer until dumplings float.

  6. 6

    Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with fresh dill, and serve.

Tips

Using leftover chicken enhances the flavor of the stock and reduces waste.
