Aloo Vada

Week 2 Theme: Mystery Basket

Windows down, coffee in hand, and the smell of hot Aloo Bonda filling the train compartment. Take me back to those Chennai journeys. 🚂

Aloo bonda is a popular Indian teatime snack featuring spiced mashed potato balls dipped in a gram flour (besan) batter and deep-fried until golden and crispy. Also known as Batata Vada in some regions, it is a staple of South Indian and Maharashtrian street food.
