Ingredients

15 minutes
2 people
  1. 500 ml (2 cups)Water
  2. 4-5 tbspJaggery powder
  3. 1/4 tspDry Ginger Powder (Saunth)
  4. 1/4 tspGreen Cardamom powder
  5. 1 pinchBlack pepper
  6. 1/2lemon juice (optional)
  7. 1/4 pinchedible camphor (Bhimseni Kapoor)

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    In a bowl, combine all the above ingredients except tulsi leaves and water

    Add cold water to the above mix. Add a few tulsi leaves.

    Mix together so that the jaggery dissolves completely.

  4. 4

    Strain to remove the impurities of the jaggery if any.

  5. 5

    Garnish with a few tulsi leaves and serve chilled.

    A pinch of Black salt enhances the flavor.

Tips

Do not exceed the suggested amount of camphor, or it will become bitter.

Health Benefits: As a natural cooler, it acts as a healthy digestive aid during hot summers.
