Ingredients

12-15 minutes
5-6 servings
  1. 1 1/2 cupsBengal Gram or Chana Daal
  2. 1large chopped Onion
  3. 1large chopped Tomato
  4. 2finely chopped Green Chillies
  5. 1 tspLemon juice or
  6. 1 tspAmchur or Dry Mango powder
  7. 1 tbspChat Masala
  8. 1 tspSalt
  9. 2-3 tbspchopped Coriander Leaves
  10. 1/2 cupPomegranate arils

Steps

12-15 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash, rinse and soak daal for a good 5-6 hours. Later boil and set aside to cool.

  2. 2

    To this cooled and boiled daal, add the chopped vegetables and the other spices as mentioned.

    Mix well and chill until ready to serve. Top it up with a generous amount of pomegranate arils. Serve it chilled as a lovely evening 4 pm snack or at tea-time or shaam ki chai. Enjoy!
