Garlic-Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

A tray of hot wings hitting the table instantly changes the mood in a room. Suddenly everyone is reaching for “just one more.”
I didn't want to make anything particularly noteworthy the first time I made them. All I wanted was strong, fresh-tasting wings. I had enough wings to make any sensible person uneasy, a packet of lemon pepper seasoning sitting in the spice cabinet for a long time, and lemons on the counter.
The balance is what distinguishes these wings. The cracked pepper adds a sharp little zing to every bite, the lemon slices through with vibrant citrus flavour, and the garlic adds warmth and richness. The secret is getting the wings crispy. Whether you bake them in the oven or throw them in the air fryer, you want those edges golden and crackly. A little baking powder in the seasoning mix helps create that crispy texture people usually think only comes from deep frying.
These wings lean toward savory, spicy, and very addicting flavours rather than overbearing heat or sticky sweetness.
I also adore how adaptable these wings are. They are perfect for backyard cookouts, late-night munchies, and those sporadic occasions when takeout seems appealing but your budget says otherwise. They are impressive enough to serve to guests, yet comfortable enough for a paper-plate meal. In all honesty, they vanish in any case.
