Fill a bowl with 1.5L cold water and 3 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar.

Peel apples, cut tops and bottoms, and place in the water to prevent browning.

Arrange apples in a pot in a single layer.

Sprinkle 4 tbsp sugar over apples. Add 3 rose petals (or a little rose water).

Pour boiling water over apples to cover them.

Bring to a boil, then simmer until apples are soft.

Let cool. Store in a clean glass container with syrup.

The compote can be stored in the refrigerator with the lid on for up to a week.

To store compote for a long time, pour it into a dry, completely clean glass container and close the jar tightly so that air does not penetrate it.
Then pour half of water into a pot, turn the glass upside down, and place it in the pot over low heat for 10 minutes until it boils. Then, turn it upside down on a flat surface to cool until the glass lid is sealed.
This way it can be stored outside the refrigerator, but once the jar is opened, it must be stored in the refrigerator

Tips
