Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Add the egg whites to the cottage cheese and save the yolks for later.

Add a pinch of salt and mix well.

Add the flour in 2 batches and mix well again. The amount of flour may vary depending on the moisture of the cottage cheese.

Add the baking powder and mix until smooth.

Lightly oil your hands to prevent the dough from sticking.

Divide the dough into 3 parts and shape them into small boats with a well in the center.

Place the boats on a baking tray and fill the center with shredded cheese.

Bake at 180°C (356°F) for about 20 minutes.

If you add the egg yolk right away, it will be fully baked. But if you want the yolk to stay runny in the center, add it during the last 5 minutes of baking.

Serve hot while the cheese is still melty and the center stays soft 😋
