A very famous and traditional Keralite item. Christians, especially people in and around Thrissur makes Kozhukatta on Saturday, prior to Palm Sunday!
Steps

Melt the jaggery with small quantity of water. When melted, leave it to cool and strain.

Mix rice flour with boiled water (use a spoon) and make a soft dough form and keep aside.

Add a tsp of ghee and mix the dough well to make it extra soft.

Shape dough in to small balls and keep aside.

Combine grated coconut, melted jaggery and crushed cardamom and mix well.

Take one rice ball in your palm and flatten in to a small circle. Place 2 table spoon of coconut jaggery mix into the middle.

Seal the circle evenly and make a small round ball. Steam the balls in a steamer or idli cooker for about 20 minutes.
