Steps

Heat oil in a pan

Splutter mustard seeds and urad dal once oil is hot

Add Curry leaves, Onion, Green chillies and saute just for a couple of minutes

Pour the onion tempering onto the Idly batter and give it a nice mix

Check for salt in the batter

Heat the Panniyaram griddle with little amount of oil
- 7
Drop little amount of batter in each lot
- 8
Cook on both the sides to get a crispy golden brown
- 9
Serve them pipping hot with coconut chutney, mint chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
