  1. 1 lbthinly sliced roast beef from the deli
  2. 8 sliceprovolone cheese
  3. 10 1/2 ozbeef broth
  4. 3 tbspworcestershire sauce
  5. 1long french bread loaf or 4 hoagie rolls
  6. horseradish sauce
  7. 1/2 cupsour cream
  8. 1/4 cupprepared horseradish, give or take based on how spicy you like

  1. 1

    in a medium saucepan simmer broth and worcestershire sauce, reducing slightly to a light bodied sauce, about 15 minutes.

    add the sliced roast beef and simmer 5 minutes

  3. 3

    preheat oven to 350. slice french loaf into four portions and split loaf in the middle, I leave one side intact for easier eating. dress with horseradish sauce, setting aside any remainder for dipping

  4. 4

    place split loaves on a baking sheet and heap with roast beef, top with cheese. place in oven until cheese is melted.

    enjoy with extra horseradish sauce and servings of broth for dipping

So where does the 1/2 cup of sour cream, which is in the ingredients, come into the picture!?
