Ingredients

  1. 1 CupMaida
  2. 1.5 TeaspoonsAjwain
  3. 1 TablespoonGhee / Oil
  4. Salt -
  5. Water -
  6. Oil for Deep Frying -

Cooking Instructions

    Mix maida, ajwain, salt and ghee in a mixing bowl. Add water little by little and knead like how you would for making chapatis. Knead until soft and keep aside for half an hour. Knead once again.

    Split dough to three balls. Roll the first ball long and rectangular.

    Use a small dhakkan (lid) and press it on the dough to make papdi sized rounds. Make as many rounds as possible. Repeat with rest of the dough.

    NOTE: Once the papdi round is ready, do not forget to poke twice with a fork. This will make sure that the papdi doesn't rise like poori.
