Ingredients

30 mins
6-serving
  • half Kilogramcut into cubes
  • 1 Teaspoonginger juliennes
  • 1 TablespoonPepper powder
  • 1 Teaspoonturmeric
  • 1 Cuponions cut lengthwise
  • 5 - 7chillies
  • 1 TablespoonPeppercorns crushed
  • 1tomato large
  • Bunchcoriander leaves small
  • one Cupcoconut milk
  • 1 Teaspooncornflour
  • To Tastesalt
  • half Cupoil
  • BunchCurryleaves
  • 1 Tablespoononion chopped ( Small if possible)
  • 3chillies dry red

    Method: Take the fish slices, wash them up, clean, drain and pat dry with a paper towel.Marinate it with 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp. pepper powder and salt to taste.leave it in the refrigerator for 10 mins, the time to get to do all the rest of the ingredients ready.

    Then take a wok, add enough oil to help fry the fish slices. Fry them.Keep the fried fish slices in a dish.In the same oil/ wok in which the fish was fried, add the cut onions and the green chillies. Saute well so they become pinkish.

    Now add water and bring it to boil adding salt to taste & turmeric.Now add the crushed peppercorns. Let boil so the onions get cooked on low fire. Now carefully slip in the fried fish slices into the wok. Let cook so the fish slices are getting the flavor penetrated!

    Slice the tomatoes horizontally and lay them on the top of the fish curry.Cover the wok with the lid and let simmer on low flame!(5 mins) Now prepare the mix of cornflour and coconut milk. (Take a cup of warm water and mix in 3 tbsps. of coconut milk powder. add the cornflour too into this).

    After 2 mins of open pan cooking,carefully, put off the flame. Its now ready for seasoning!

    Now take a small pan, add 1 tbsp. oil, add the chopped onions, sauté, adding the red chillies.add curry leaves. when done, do pour this onto the fish curry. serve hot with porotta or appam. You will want more and more. Have a nice meal!!!
