Ingredients

8-serving
  • 2 cupsAll purpose flour -
  • 1/4 cupCaster sugar -
  • 1/2 tspSalt -
  • 3 - 4 gramsActive dry yeast -
  • 1/8 cupwater Warm -
  • 1 nosEgg -
  • 1 tbspButter -
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • 150 mlMilk -

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the yeast in warm water for 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Mix the flour, sugar, and salt at first.

  3. 3

    Add milk, egg, and butter and mix them separately before adding it to the mixture obtained in step 2 until it no longer sticks to the mixing bowl.

  4. 4

    Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Cover the dough with a towel and keep it aside for an hour(until it rises to double its volume).

  6. 6

    On a flat surface, roll the dough to about 0.5 inches thickness and cut out doughnut shaped rings.

  7. 7

    Let the doughnuts rise to double its volume. Leave them for about 45 minutes.

  8. 8

    Fry the doughnuts in medium flame until they are golden brown.

  9. 9

    Dust some sugar and cinnamon onto these fried doughnuts. To evenly spread the sugar onto them, put the doughnuts and sugar into a zip lock bag and shake it well.
