French Toast

Finishing off this week with a no fail, super sweet Saturday morning brekkie or brunch idea. I don't make french toast often at home and when I made it a couple of weekends ago, I told myself to make it often. There was a lot of excitement both from the dad and daughter about this really really basic breakfast idea. They talked about who was going to eat the most triangles of these delicious sweet bread. It was such a wonderful and happy morning around the kitchen counter in my house ... Love Saturdays like that :)

Steps
- 1
Cut the bread into triangles and set aside.
- 2
In a bowl whisk the eggs along with the milk. You can increase or decrease quantity based on how much you need. Add the sugar, vanilla and cardamom powder.
- 3
Heat up a pan and add some butter. Soak each bread triangle in the egg mixture for a minute or two each. You want it fully soaked.
- 4
Place on the buttered pan and cook on either side. You want it crispy and a nice golden brown.
- 5
Once done, I transfer it to a plate, dusted some icing sugar (optional), drizzled some raspberry sauce (again optional LOL), and added some chopped bananas.
