Steps

Remove the crust from all sides of the bread. Slice the bread into 2 equal parts.

Mix all the dry ingredients: besan, rice flour, cumin, asafoetida and salt.

Add the water slowly to make a smooth batter. (like dosa batter)

Add green chillies and finely chopped cilantro to the above mix. Mix well.

Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium high heat.

Dip the bread slices one at a time and slowly drop into the oil.

Fry the pakoras for 4-5 minutes.

Turn the pakoras occasionally. Fry the pakoras until both sides are golden brown.
