Ingredients

45minutes
4 servings
  1. 200 gmKunafa pastry
  2. 100 gmmelted butter
  3. 1tea spoon sugar
  4. 1tea spoon vanilla essence
  5. For cream
  6. 1 cupmilk
  7. 1table spoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoon milk
  8. 1table spoon sugar
  9. 1tea spoon vanilla essence
  10. For sugar syrup
  11. 1/2 cupsugar
  12. 1/2 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    For sugar syrup ---In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Let it boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Keep aside to cool.

    In a pan, add milk and sugar together. Let it come to a boil.

  3. 3

    For cream ---Add cornstarch mixture to the milk and keep stirring, till the mixture get thickens, then remove from the heat.

    Add vanilla essence and keep aside to cool.

    For kunafa--Cut the kunafa thread into small pieces with hands.

    Pour melted butter, 1tsp sugar and vanilla essence over the kunafa threads and mix well with your hands.

    Put half of the kunafa in the cake form and press well with your fingers.

    Spread the cream over the kunafa as shown in picture and add the other half of kunafa over the cream.

    Now bake the kunafa in a preheated oven 180℃, for 20 minutes or until it turn golden on top.

    Take out kunafa from oven and after 10 minutes, flip it in plate.

    Now pour cooled sugar syrup on the hot kunafa and leave it for 7 to 8 minutes to absorb it all.

    Now garnish it with crushed pistachios and serve hot….Enjoy😊
