Delicious meal to be served for 3 people.
Steps

Start with preparation of the Githeri by boiling the maize and beans mixture in a pot to make the them tender and be easy to chew. 2 hours

Prepare the other ingredients; peel the potatoes and divide into halves, chop the cabbages, grate an half of carrots and chop the rest to small pieces, chop the tomatoes and onions to smaller pieces.

When the Githeri is ready, In a separate sufuria put cooking oil in a pan followed by onions, allow it to cook till golden brown.

Add tomatoes and salt to taste to cook for 2 minutes.add chopped potatoes and stir add some water and cover to cook for 8 minutes.

Add boiled Githeri to the mix and stir then add some water to create soup and cover it. Leave for 15 minutes for proper cooking and mixing with ingredients.

Prepare the salad..add the cabbage and grated carrots to a pan and steam for 10 minutes then it'll be ready

When ready serve while still warm and enjoy the meal
