Vietnamese Grilled Chili Salt Bánh Mì

Steps
- 1
Melt the butter. Finely chop the green onions. Cut the sausage into thin strips. Cut the quail eggs in half.
- 2
Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix the sugar, chili salt, and shrimp chili paste. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water to thin it out.
- 3
Flatten the baguette rolls slightly.
- 4
Brush both sides of the bread with a layer of butter. Place the bread with the top side down, then brush the bottom side with the sauce. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
- 5
With the remaining butter, heat it in a pan, add the green onions, stir briefly, then turn off the heat.
- 6
Take the bread out, flip it over, brush with more sauce, add the green onions, and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
- 7
Cut the bread into bite-sized pieces. Top with sausage, pork floss, quail eggs, chili sauce, and mayonnaise. Enjoy! (This version is missing pork floss :(()
