Ingredients

  1. 1 1/3 lbscooked chickpeas (about 600 grams)
  2. 1 cupplain yogurt (about 240 grams)
  3. 3 tablespoonstahini
  4. 1 loaftoasted pita bread
  5. 2 tablespoonsclarified butter or ghee
  6. Cumin / 1 lemon
  7. 1tomato
  8. Chopped parsley

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the chickpeas. Place the toasted pita bread in a large bowl, then moisten the bread with hot chickpea cooking water. Add the cooked chickpeas on top.

  2. 2

    Mix the yogurt and tahini with a squeeze of lemon and some cumin, then pour the mixture over the chickpeas.

  3. 3

    Garnish with chopped parsley and diced tomato. Melt the clarified butter or ghee and drizzle it on top. Enjoy!
