In a pan, add 1 tbsp oil and let it heat up. Once hot add the sliced onion and saute to brown them well.

Once browned, add sliced ivy gourd, turmeric powder, salt and 4-5 tbsp of water. mix well, cover and cook until ivy gourd is cooked and water is evaporated

Open the lid and saute well, to which add 1 tbsp of remaining oil, red chilli powder/crushed flakes and mix well

Let it stir fry in low flame for 4-5 minutes until ivy gourd pieces and onions are browned.
