Steps

Heat sugar, honey, salt, and pepper in a non-stick pan on medium until it starts to bubble.

Stir in pecans and coat well. Once coated, turn off heat and stir in cherries and zest.
- 3
Spread out on non-stick pan and bake at 250° for another hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- 4
Spread out on parchment paper to cool.
