My mother used to make amazing snapper roe soup. However, I was too lazy to prepare the herbs and use a pressure cooker for that. I decided to use my slow cooker instead. It turned out savory, a bit tangy, and tasty.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 300 grsnapper roe, washed and patted dry
  2. 1/2onion, sliced thinly
  3. 1tomato, cut into 8 pieces
  4. 1 tbspgarlic paste
  5. 1 tspginger paste
  6. 1/2 tspsalt
  7. 1/2 tsplemon juice or vinegar
  8. 50 mlwater or broth
  9. 1 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Pour the oil into the slow cooker. (I used a small one, about 1.5 liter in size)

  2. 2

    Arrange the onion and then tomato in the slow cooker.

  3. 3

    Make a few slices on the roe. Mix garlic, ginger, salt, lemon juice well. Coat the roe with the mixture.

  4. 4

    Put the roe on top of the onion and tomato. Add the water.

  5. 5

    Press HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
