Roti Cane (Cane Bread)

Very popular street food in southeast Asia. It's similar with white flat bread, but with more layers and crispyness. You can eat it sweet: with condensed milk and chocolate chips, or savory: with curry sauce. I also add "dl" scale, which stands for deciliter. Happy snacking!!

Steps
- 1
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- 2
Add 2 tsp vegetable oil and milk. Mix it using hand or mixer.
- 3
Add water gradually while keep kneading the dough.
- 4
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, and divide the dough into 12 small balls in the size of golf ball. Soaked it in an oily bowl.
- 5
Rest it for 3 hours or over a night. Afterwards, flat the dough and flip it to create the layers
- 6
Stretch the flipped dough and make a circular shape, and flattened it again.
- 7
Rest the envelope dough about 3 minutes before fried it.
- 8
Fried it in a pan without oil, and flip when it started to turn golden brown.
- 9
Take it out from the pan and clap it to release the air trapped inside. This step will give the crispyness.
- 10
Top it with the topping or eat it with curry sauce.
